Al-Ameed Int’l Quran Recitation Award: Iranian Qaris Advance to 2nd Around

IQNA – With the conclusion of the first stage of the 2nd Al-Ameed Int’l Quran Recitation Award, the organizers named those making it to the second round.

Contestants who have advanced to the 2nd Al-Ameed Int’l Quran Recitation Award’s second round

 

According to the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine, 15 out of the 30 contestants in the adults section have qualified for the next stage.

Among them are three Iranian qaris, namely Hamid Reza Moqaddasi, Rahim Sharifi and Saeed Parvizi.

The others are from Egypt, Iraq, Indonesia, Tanzania, Morocco, Afghanistan, Turkey, Lebanon and the Philippines, al-Kafeel reported.

The Scientific Quran Assembly of the Astan of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine has organized the Quranic event in Karbala with the aim of promoting the Quranic culture.

The panel of judges comprises Quran experts from different countries, including Sheikh Mohamed Basyuni from Egypt, Abdul Kabir Heidari from Afghanistan, Muhammad Asfour from Egypt, Hassanayn al-Hulw from Iraq, Seyed Karim Mousawi from Iran and Muhammad Rammal from Lebanon.
